The Boston Red Sox made a major decision when they made Rafael Devers the everyday designated hitter and Alex Bregman. However, Devers is off to a terrible start to the season.

Red Sox Chief Baseball Officer Craig Breslow was at the forefront of the decisions to sign Bregman and to move Devers to DH. And on Friday, he opened up on some of the discussions that had gone down behind the scenes. During an appearance on MLB Now, Breslow praised Devers for eventually swallowing his pride and accepting his new assignment.

Rafael Devers was adamant that he did not want to give up playing third base after the Boston Red Sox signed Alex Bregman, but that is exactly what is
