Baltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson remains optimistic he will be ready for the season opener on March 27 as he recovers from a mild right intercoastal strain.

Henderson, who has been battling a right intercostal issue, says he's feeling much better and hopes to be on the field when the O's battle the Toronto Blue Jays on March 27.

Gunnar Henderson is hoping he’ll be healthy for the start of the Orioles’ season. “I’m going out there to try to do whatever I can to make it to opening day,” the shortstop said.
