Boston Red Sox outfielder Masataka Yoshida completed his first rehab game and came out of it optimistic about his recovery.

The Boston Red Sox have finally gotten Masataka Yoshida back on the field. He's currently in Triple-A, doing what's needed to try to come back up to the big leagues. The hope is for him to eventually play the outfield, but with his nagging shoulder injury, it remains uncertain if that's a realistic plan.

After the trade that sent the team's last player from the 2018 World Series team, Rafael Devers, to the San Francisco Giants, the Red Sox have fallen to fourth place in the AL East. In their last 10 games, the Red Sox are 3-7 and went through a six-game losing streak before snapping it against the Toronto Blue Jays on June 28.
