Southern California experiences widespread rain overnight as scattered showers linger into morning
Many Southern California communities experienced nearly 1 inch of rainfall overnight.
The National Weather Service expects about half an inch for most Bay Area cities each day from Sunday to Tuesday. By next Thursday, 2 to 3 inches could fall across the region, boosting totals that are already near average in most cities. “We had a wet period and a dry period,” Null said. “Average those out, you get kind of normal.”
