Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles Chief Dan Casey resigned amid issues with the agency's aging computer system. Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry appointed Fire Marshal Bryan Adams as interim OMV chief while a search for a permanent replacement is conducted.

Adams will return to the State Fire Marshal's Office after his time at the OMV, a release from Landry's office said. Dale 'Ed' Branch, the chief of staff for the State Fire Marshal's Office, will replace Adams as the head of that agency.

The head of Louisiana’s Office of Motor Vehicles has resigned, according to Governor Jeff Landry.On March 28, Landry announced the resignation of Dan Casey, the Commissioner of the OMV.This comes one week after the governor declared a state of emergency as the OMV looks to upgrade its 50-year system.
