The Gophers baseball team allowed seven home runs, including five in a row in the second inning, in a 29-1 blowout loss to Kansas at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Wednesday. Gophers shortstop Drew Berkland drove in the game's first run with a groundout to short in the bottom of the first inning.

Kansas baseball dominated Minnesota in their Wednesday matchup, and a big help in their 29-1 win was five straight home runs.

Minnesota scored the first run of the game in the first inning. But Kansas was relentless from the second inning on. The Jayhawks scored five runs in the second frame, and then went on a hot streak in the third inning where they hit five straight homers, tying an NCAA record for consecutive home runs.
