Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles Chief Dan Casey resigned amid issues with the agency's aging computer system. Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry appointed Fire Marshal Bryan Adams as interim OMV chief while a search for a permanent replacement is conducted.

Adams will return to the State Fire Marshal's Office after his time at the OMV, a release from Landry's office said. Dale 'Ed' Branch, the chief of staff for the State Fire Marshal's Office, will replace Adams as the head of that agency.
