Giolito will make his next rehab start Tuesday. Manager Alex Cora said he’s unsure yet whether it will be for Double-A Portland or Worcester. Portland will be home against New Hampshire. The WooSox will be home vs. Columbus.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Thursday that Giolito (hamstring) is "not close" to rejoining the rotation, Alex Speier of the Boston Globe reports. Giolito threw 51 pitches over 2.1 innings Wednesday in his first rehab start with Triple-A Worcester and will need at least a couple more rehab outings as he continues to build up.

The Red Sox can only hope the Giolito they eventually see is the pitcher who recorded a 3.47 ERA and 10.6 bWAR from 2019-21. Giolito owns a 61-62 record and a 4.43 ERA over 180 games and 178 starts in eight seasons.
