Several school districts in Massachusetts and New Hampshire have closed or delayed opening for Thursday, February 13 because of an overnight storm.

With snow expected to fall in parts of Massachusetts Wednesday night — delivering as much as 3 inches before turning into a wintry mix and rain Thursday — some schools have delayed opening and some have even decided to close.

Messy conditions caused by the combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain led dozens of school districts across Massachusetts and New Hampshire to delay the start of classes on Thursday. A few districts in the region announced closures for the day.
