The National Park Service on Monday returned an image of and quote from Harriet Tubman to a webpage about the Underground Railroad, following backlash after her presence on the page was dramatically reduced.

The webpage's administrators temporarily changed an introductory paragraph to emphasize “Black/White Cooperation.”

The National Park Service (NPS) scrapped a reference to abolitionist Harriet Tubman from its webpage dedicated to the Underground Railroad, The Hill reported. Tubman’s image had been a prominent feature on the page for years.
