State police warned that the man was armed and suggested residents near the 7500 block of Fox Road in Mears in Oceana County shelter in place.

Police said Jemille Edwards, better known as Skrilla, shot an officer in the face, neck, and chest with a toy gun filled with gel pellets.

A teenager is dead after a shooting on Detroit's east side Friday night. Sgt. Daron Zhou with the Detroit Police told CBS News Detroit that the teen was shot on Eastwood Street. Circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown, and officials haven't said whether any arrests have been made.

The shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, near Perkins and 23rd streets in Saginaw. Police said five people were shot while at a large gathering in the street. Officers found one victim who had been shot and hit by a car lying in the street. The individual is in critical condition at a nearby hospital.
