As for the defending National Champions, the Tennessee Volunteers, they are still rolling on Rocky Top. They are No. 1 in the country and they will remain that way until an SEC team proves to be a worthy challenger.

Florida has been swept twice to start SEC play and the team is taking on water as it deals with injuries to several major contributors. If the Gators can get healthier, they have a chance to rise up, but right now this team still has more questions than answers.

The 2025 college baseball season enters the third week in SEC play. Tennessee (22-2, 5-1 SEC) remains ranked No. 1 nationally for a fifth consecutive week in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll. The Vols suffered their first losses of the season last week.
