While D'Angelo and Stone were growing closer romantically, they were also collaborating professionally. Stone toured with the "Untitled (How Does It Feel)" singer as a background vocalist on his Brown Sugar tour in the 1990s. She also contributed to D'Angelo's debut album of the same name.
