Former Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins was killed in prison in recent days and it has been claimed that he 'spent thousands' on protection inside HMP Wakefield over safety fears

Watkins was sentenced to a total of 29 years imprisonment, and an extended licence period of six years, meaning a total sentence of 35 years. Having been incarcerated at HMP Parc during his remand, Watkins was transferred to HMP Wakefield in West Yorkshire to begin serving his sentence.

Dr. Ian Roberts, the superintendent of the Des Moines, Iowa, public school system, will be submitting his resignation just days after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested him on accusations of being a “criminal illegal alien” with a “prior weapons charge,” according to his attorney.
