Blount County Fire Protection District chief, two commissioners resign after leadership concerns
MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The fire chief and two out of the three commissioners for the Blount County Fire Protection District have resigned. Commissioners Tom Daffron and Benny Kirby resigned.
The firefighters also confirmed that Blount County Mayor Ed Mitchell appointed two temporary commissioners to fill the vacant seats left by Kirby and Daffron.
