The third consecutive night of US strikes on Iran came as Trump announced a 20% charge as part of a new blockade on the strait.
Two tankers came under Iranian fire in the Strait of Hormuz, after President Donald Trump said the United States is reinstating its blockade of Iranian shipping.
Trump says the US will become the "guardian" of the Strait of Hormuz and will charge ships for using it. Iran earlier warned the US not to "interfere" in the strait's "management".
The move would sharpen a standoff over control of Hormuz that has led to days of fighting.
The US conducted new strikes hours after a major air assault on Iran. Tehran targeted Gulf nations over the weekend.
For years, a Saudi-led coalition based in Yemen’s south, including the internationally recognized government, has been fighting the Houthis in the north.
