A crash investigation shut down traffic in all directions just outside of Chicago in Cicero after a multi-car crash involving a truck and a police squad car, with officers transported to hospitals and major backups expected for the rush hour commute.

A pre-dawn crash at one of Cicero’s busiest intersections sent two police officers to the hospital and tied up traffic early Monday, after a squad car and two other vehicles collided at Roosevelt Road and Cicero Avenue.
