The NYPD is monitoring the events that occurred on New Year’s in New Orleans where at least 10 people were killed and dozens injured after a car plowed through a crowd of revelers. The FBI said it is investigating the attack as an act of terrorism.

New Orleans is bringing on Bill Bratton, who has been the top cop in Boston, New York and Los Angeles, to counsel the city on its security measures following the deadly Bourbon Street attack, the New Orleans police chief said Wednesday.

The New Orleans Police Department has hired former New York City Police Commissioner William Bratton to review the city’s security plans and harden it against future attacks after last week’s deadly rampage on Bourbon Street.
