A statement was released by a representative from Foodland stores. “This morning at approximately 10:15 am, we were informed that a car drove into our Foodland Mililani store.
Foodland Farms Lahaina was largely spared, sustaining smoke damage but no structural damage. It remained closed in the months that followed as electricity and water were restored to the area.
Foodland, which was founded in 1948 and opened Hawaii’s first supermarket, seeks to automate and enhance core end-to-end retail practices using Symphony RetailAI solutions.
Foodland thanked customers for their support and understanding, and asks them to plan in advance for the closure. Foodland has 31 Foodland and Sack N Save stores statewide.
