In September, two Powerball ticket buyers from Missouri and Texas split the biggest lottery prize of the year and the second-largest ever after winning a $1.78 billion jackpot. The current jackpot has eclipsed a $526.5 million prize won by a Powerball ticket buyer from California in March.

No one won the $512 million jackpot in Wednesday night's Powerball drawing. The winning numbers for the Nov. 12 drawing were 29, 39, 43, 51, 65 and the Powerball was 23. Two tickets sold in New Jersey and Virginia matched five numbers to win the $1 million prize. The next drawing on Saturday will have an estimated jackpot of $546 million.

For only 50 cents, a Massachusetts casino player won a jackpot prize. The Encore Boston Harbor player bet 50 cents on the game “Lil Dias” to win the jackpot prize of $17,849.83 on Oct. 7. The casino, which is located in Everett, has more than 2,700 slot machines and more than 175 table games.

The New Jersey Lottery announced on Nov. 10 that the jackpot was won on Friday and Sunday nights. The jackpot has now been hits 57 times this year.
