An Air Quality Alert is in effect for King and Snohomish Counties until Wednesday at noon, with pockets of unhealthy air at times.

Hazy skies will blanket western Washington as wildfire smoke drifts from central and eastern parts of the state.

On Wednesday at 3:28 p.m. an updated air quality alert was reported by the NWS Seattle WA in effect until 4:30 p.m. for King and Snohomish counties.

Volunteers of America Western Washington needs help staffing cold weather shelters across the county from Nov. 1 to March 31.

Some parts of Western Washington could see temperatures in the mid- to upper 80s, along with an increased risk of smoke and wildfire activity.
