Brewers honor Bob Uecker with touching pregame ceremony as the team joins his family on the mound before the Giants-Brewers game.

The Brewers honored Uecker with a celebration of life tribute prior to the Brewers-Giants game Aug. 24. The ceremony was hosted by fellow Hall of Fame broadcaster Bob Costas, who worked with Uecker on national NBC telecasts.

Bob Uecker's Hall of Fame broadcasting career began only after the Milwaukee Brewers initially hired him as a scout.Former Brewers owner and MLB Commissioner Bud Selig said it didn't take long to realize Uecker might be better suited for a different role.
