We have an update to a story we told you about earlier this week. Cy Fair ISD says a school bus driver who was pulled off her bus passed all alcohol and drug tests.

SAN JOSE – A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of slashing a VTA bus driver several times with a knife Wednesday morning in San Jose, according to authorities. The episode happened just after 7 a.m. Wednesday at Blossom Hill Road and Hillview Avenue, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said in a series of social media posts.

Districts are still making adjustments until positions are filled, while others are doing better as the shortage in bus drivers continues.

Lucas Champion, a bus driver for the Fairfax County Public School District in Virginia, wore a black tuxedo to take his students to school on the first day of classes on Monday, Aug. 18. He exclusively tells PEOPLE that he's considering making it an annual tradition!

The Leander school district released footage of a bus veering off Nameless Road on Aug. 13 and named the driver.
