Mexican striker Lizbeth Ovalle became the most expensive player in women's professional soccer history when she transferred from Tigres to Orlando Pride.

The Orlando Pride have signed Mexican midfielder Jacquie Ovalle to a world-record deal through 2027, with a mutual option for 2028. Ovalle, 25, had spent her entire career with Mexican top-flight side Tigres. She broke into the first team in 2017 and has won six Liga MX Feminil titles.

The women's soccer tranfer fee record fell again, as the Orlando Pride threw down the gauntlet in NWSL by signing Mexico star Lizbeth Ovalle.
