The Trump administration is offering a second round of buyouts to National Park Service employees under yet another deferred resignation program, according to an internal memo the National Parks Conservation Association obtained and shared with SFGATE.
The park covers more than 218,000 acres – or about 340 square miles – of forests, lakes and streams in northern Minnesota near the border between the U.S. and Canada. It is named after the French-Canadian voyageurs who once traveled through the area, carrying furs and other trade goods.
Joshua Tree National Park will move forward with a significant infrastructure upgrade project that will last into early 2026.
