OpenAI Chief Executive Officer Sam Altman rebuffed Elon Musk’s $97.4 billion offer to take control of the artificial-intelligence startup for the second time in less than a day, accusing the world’s richest man of making the bid just to gain a competitive advantage.

Elon Musk is leading a group of investors in offering to buy control of OpenAI for $97.4 billion. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said Musk is aiming to “slow down a competitor.”

The OpenAI CEO quickly rejected the deal on Musk’s X platform, saying, “no thank you but we will buy Twitter for $9.74 billion if you want.”
