SteamDB has added a new filter that lets users hide games made with generative AI. This new feature comes from Steam's rule, established in the past year, which requires developers to reveal if they have used generative AI in their games.

Steam currently doesn’t make it possible to filter its games so that only those without AI Generated Content Disclosure sections can be viewed, but SteamDB has now added this filter. A new ‘AI Content Disclosed’ tag on the site lists the more than 4,900 games currently on Steam which have an AI Generated Content Disclosure section in them.

Generative AI has been at the center of digital attention for years now, garnering more and more of it as the technology develops and evolves. However, the stigma it carries is equal to, if not greater than, when it first appeared, with gamers particularly opposed to it.
