The battle between No. 2 South Carolina and No. 4 Texas doesn't have a long list of games, but now the two programs are both in the SEC. South Carolina has won three in a row in the series, however. With just five meetings between these powerhouses, the series is tight at 3-2 in favor of South Carolina.

The Longhorns ended the Gamecocks' 57-game conference win streak in front of a sold-out crowd, as coach Dawn Staley had not lost an SEC game since December 2021. Texas guard Madison Booker led the way with 20 points, 11 rebounds and three assists while post Kyla Oldacre added 13 points, six rebounds and an assist.
