Weeks after closing down the city’s largest resting site for homeless residents, city officials are considering three new designated resting sites in Grants Pass.
The City of Grants Pass is making changes to find camping locations for its homeless population. This comes amidst a temporary restraining order against Grants Pass after city councilors voted to change the allowable time for its only resting site to 5 p.

At a Wednesday night meeting, after considering multiple locations, city councilors re-opened a nearly half-acre site near City Hall, on 6th Street, for homeless camping. That site had previously been used for that purpose.
In a span of just four days, three separate fatal crashes killed three people in Oregon. On Saturday at 6:45 p.m., a two-vehicle crash on Oregon 213 near Clackamas County killed Kenneth Jay Isaksen, 35, of Molalla.
