Israel’s UN ambassador, Danny Danon, says the ISF is meant to disarm Hamas and avoid further conflict, even as questions remain about whether states will send forces.

“Just as we are determined to bring all the hostages home, we will demonstrate the same determination in ensuring that Hamas is disarmed,” Ambassador Danny Danon says in a statement. “We will not stop or let up until Hamas no longer presents a threat to the State of Israel.”
