The body of Tucker Challan, 16, was recovered from the avalanche site on Sunday morning, Alaska State Troopers said.

A 16-year-old was riding a snowmobile in the Kenai Mountains when he was swept away and buried, officials said.

Alaska State Troopers say a teenager has died after being buried by snow in an avalanche. The accident happened Saturday when a group was riding snowmachines near Turnagain Pass, a popular outdoor recreation area about 60 miles southeast of Anchorage.
