A homicide investigation is underway after a deadly shooting in west Charlotte Sunday afternoon. According to Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, officers were called to the 2600 block of Royston Road around 1 p.m. and found the victim with a gunshot wound. MEDIC pronounced the person dead on scene.

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person has died after being shot in west Charlotte, according to Medic. Around 1:20 p.m., a crash was reported by CMPD on the 2600 block of Royston Road near Camp Greene Street. When Medic arrived, they said one person was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound.
