Christopher Nolan has been busy filming his 2026 epic "The Odyssey" in various parts of the world. But according to the Western Sahara International Film Festival (FiSahara), he would not be shooting in Dakhla if he knew how Moroccan forces allegedly treat the indigenous Sahrawi population.

Christopher Nolan has been accused of enabling colonialism by filming in Western Sahara. The 54-year-old British-American director is shooting parts of The Odyssey in Dakhla, in the disputed territory.
