DETROIT — Cam Talbot stopped 28 shots for his second shutout of the season as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-0 on Saturday night. Marco Kasper redirected J.T. Compher’s shot at 9:55 of the second period, and Michael Rasmussen scored an empty-netter in the final minute to clinch Detroit’s victory.

Led by an excellent performance by one of their forwards, the Detroit Red Wings earned their third straight victory.

A huge key was the Wings' power play, which had so lethal in recent games (power play goals in 10 of their last 11 games). The Wings did score once, with Lucas Raymond scoring his 19th goal, but the Wings couldn't match the two or three power-play goals they had scored six of the last 11 games.

The Detroit Red Wings welcomed the Los Angeles Kings for a Monday night matchup, the only time the two teams will face off in Detroit this season. After a back-and-forth game, the Red Wings pulled off a 5-2 victory.
