Etienne Tshisekedi, political gadfly and the DRC's loud opposer of dictatorships, has come back for the elections, writes Sebastian Simba.

The leader of the DRC opposition Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS), Etienne Tshisekedi, Thursday expressed his condolence to the family of the late President Laurent Kabila.

Etienne Tshisekedi, the 84-year old long-time opposition leader and force for political openness in Congo, died Wednesday in a hospital in Brussels, after suffering from a long-standing illness.
