Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) has been one of the hottest stocks in the market since 2023 but has cooled alongside all of the other growth stocks during the latest sell-off. Nvidia has been a top stock because of its involvement in the artificial intelligence (AI) race since its products power much of the training and inference for that technology.

The US has tightened curbs on export of high-end AI chips to China for the third time, which has exacerbated the pain for semiconductor major Nvidia and its peers amid the Trump tariff-led global uncertainty.

Nvidia stock fluctuated wildly on Monday. The chip maker continues to be buffeted by uncertainty of an escalating trade war between the U.S. and China. Nvidia shares were up 2.3% to $96.47 in early trading.
