The CTA said Monday night there was a minor derailment of a Yellow Line train at the Howard Station near Evanston. About 7:40 p.m., the CTA and the Chicago Fire Department escorted riders from two trains to nearby platforms, according to CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski.

The Chicago Transit Authority said there was a minor derailment of a Yellow Line/Skokie Swift train at Howard. The cause was unknown, and no injuries were reported.

The Yellow, Purple and Red line trains were standing with major delays after a Yellow Line train derailed at the Howard Station, according to the CTA. Riders on two trains were escorted to the nearby station platform, officials said. No one was injured.
