Google announced it will change the names of the Gulf of Mexico and Mount Denali to the Gulf of America and Mount McKinley, respectively, on Google Maps following President Trump's executive order to rename them.

Google will show Gulf of Mexico as "Gulf of America" and Alaska's Denali as "Mount McKinley" in the United States once the U.S. government has officially updated to the U.S. Geographic Names Information System.

Google said it will follow the government’s lead. Google said today that it plans to update Google Maps to reflect President Trump’s January 20th executive order to change the names of the Gulf of Mexico and Denali to the Gulf of America and Mount McKinley, respectively.
