Senate Republicans narrowly approved President Donald Trump’s sweeping tax and spending cuts package Tuesday after a dayslong grind to secure the support of key holdouts.

Senate Republicans hope they are hours away from passing their massive tax and immigration bill. But the outcome is far from certain.

But almost all of the Republican holdouts on the megabill flipped and voted to advance the legislation early Thursday — setting up a final vote. During the all-nighter, GOP leaders kept the procedural vote open for almost six hours as they worked to flip 12 votes.
