European sweets and snacks company Valeo Foods Group has broadened its Italian bakery holdings with the purchase of Melegatti 1894.

The vegetable oil price index rose 2.3% from May to 155.7 points, now 18.2% above its June 2024 level, led by higher palm, rapeseed, and soy oil prices.

Spanish cooperative supermarket chain Covirán reported 0.13% growth in gross sales in its financial year 2024 to €1.85 billion.
