Florida's Miccosukee tribe challenges new Everglades detention facility over environmental and safety concerns, as Trump tours the 5,000-person "Alligator Alcatraz."

President Trump on Tuesday toured the site of a new immigration detention center in South Florida that state officials are calling "Alligator Alcatraz." Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem are visiting the facility alongside the president.

Florida has built a new migrant detention center in the middle of the Everglades, nicknamed "Alligator Alcatraz." Surrounded by swamps and wildlife, the site has space for thousands of people. It recently drew attention when Donald Trump visited it.
