Donald Trump very rarely loses control of his own story. But the Jeffrey Epstein saga is beyond his powers to quell.

President Donald Trump has come to the defense of Attorney General Pam Bondi amid an all-out revolt among his MAGA base over the administration's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. But his effort over the weekend to quell the outrage only seemed to add fuel to to the fire.

Trump, meanwhile, said he was open to further discussions with the EU and other trading partners before new 30% tariffs kick in next month and that EU officials would be coming to the United States for negotiations.

STORY: The European Union said on Sunday it is continuing to push for a trade deal with the United States after President Donald Trump said on Saturday he would be imposing a 30% tariff on most imports from the EU starting August 1.

Talking to reporters at the White House, the U.S. President insisted the tariff letters he sent to several countries over the past week are “the deals,” but also noted that he would like to do a different one with Europe.
