Authorities in Southern California have arrested the parents of a missing 7-month-old boy and said they believe he's dead.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department confirmed Friday morning that an operation was ongoing at the family's Cabazon home.
August 23, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Friday morning, detectives from the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail and Specialized Enforcement Division arrested Jake and Rebecca Haro at their residence in Cabazon for PC 187 – Murder.
Eight days after Rebecca Haro reported the disappearance of infant son Emmanuel Aug. 14, she and his dad Jake Haro were arrested on a murder charge, the San Bernardino Sheriff Department confirmed.
Emmanuel Haro was reported missing on Thursday after someone attacked his mother outside of a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in the 34500 block of Yucaipa Boulevard, according to the family. Mother Rebecca Haro said she was changing her baby's diaper when someone punched her. When she came to, she ran into the sporting goods store and called 911.
