CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was critically wounded in a shooting in the South Loop Wednesday night, Chicago police said. The shooting took place at about 9:05 p.m. in the 1000-block of State Street.

Around 9:05 p.m., the 32-year-old man was walking in the 1000 block of South State Street when a gunman approached and opened fire, Chicago police said.
