There’s a new push to change downtown Chicago’s curfew in wake of violent teen takeovers in the city’s Streeterville neighborhood over the weekend. Residents believe earlier curfews could have prevented the scene that unfolded in heart of the city Friday.

Officers found a 15-year-old boy on the ground with a gunshot graze wound to his leg after hearing gunshots near Columbus Drive and Illinois Street.

Twelve people were arrested Friday night after a large gathering of teenagers in downtown Chicago led to two violent incidents, police said.
