Diogo Jota was laid to rest in Portugal with his Liverpool and international team-mates among those to attend the funeral after his tragic death.

Cristiano Ronaldo did not attend the funeral of Portugal teammate Diogo Jota. The Liverpool forward and his brother Andre were killed in a car crash in northwest Spain in the early hours of Thursday morning. The two were laid to rest in their hometown of Gondomar on Saturday in a private funeral mass.

Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, was one of the conspicuous absentees as his team-mate Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, were both laid to rest.
