Overnight, our attention shifts from the potential icy spots to the dangerous cold. Most of the area is under an Extreme Cold Warning through 9 a.m. Thursday. This means wind chills could be as cold as ten below zero.

Southwest Airlines said it will cut 1,750 jobs at its Dallas Love Field headquarters, representing about 15% of its corporate workforce.

Dallas-based Southwest Airlines announced Monday that it’s laying off 15% of its corporate employees. About 1,750 employees will be affected, according to a release from the airline. Eligible employees will continue to receive salary and benefits until April.
