Canada and Mexico are trying to get the United States not to follow through on a promise by President Trump to impose tariffs of 25% on imported goods.

Mexico has sent Quintero and 28 other cartel figures to the U.S. as the Trump Administration turns up the pressure on drug trafficking organizations.

Rafael Caro Quintero, an alleged cartel boss who spent decades in prison in Mexico for the murder of a U.S. drug enforcement agent, pleaded not guilty in a U.S. court on Friday to drug trafficking charges that could result in his execution.
