The Knoxville Smokies announced the park will host the upcoming Knoxville Music Festival on Saturday, Oct. 18.

Most Big Ears festival-goers attend far more than that; as an example, this newbie last year made it to 20. And if you plan ahead, you can snag most of the best seats at no extra expense.

The annual festival will take place this year from Jan. 31 to Feb. 1 and will raise money for RadioKCM, a subsidiary of Knoxville Community Media.
