Arne Slot has provided an update on the contract situation of Trent Alexander-Arnold after the club tied down Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk to new deals. Liverpool have been pushing to renew Alexander-Arnold’s contract all season with the 26-year-old’s current deal expiring in the summer.

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has put pen to paper on a new contract at Anfield. Van Dijk’s previous deal had been due to expire at the end of the season and there had been growing speculation that the 33-year-old could be keen for a fresh challenge after seven-and-a-half years on Merseyside.
